- _Cell_. The Submissions team builds online tools for researchers submitting their work for publication. As part of this we work with two other business units to create help & support content and deliver communications to users across multiple products. Our efforts to make the submission process easier for researchers and healthcare professionals will ultimately help them advance science and improve health outcomes for the benefit of society.About the role- We are looking to fill a newly-created Content Design role within the Submissions design team. The submissions journey involves multiple products, and content is created by different teams working separately. As a Senior Content Designer, you will review existing copy across the submissions journey, using data and user research to identify pain points and make recommendations to help us create a more unified experience. You will work closely with stakeholders across three business units to develop and get buy-in for content strategy around product messaging, help & support, and communications to users. You will work with designers to integrate content into the Design System, and coach them on writing UX copy.**Responsibilities**:- Break down silos and build connections with and between a large group of stakeholders
- Audit existing content and conduct qualitative and quantitative research to identify gaps and areas for improvement
- Develop tone of voice and copy guidelines that can be used by designers, FAQ writers, and communications managers-
- Create templates for structuring long-form content, to make help information easier to find and access
- Advise and coach designers on writing UX copy
- Help improve our design team practices, and support other designers as neededKey Requirements needed as a Senior Content Designer:- Have a portfolio that demonstrates experience covering user research, UX writing, long-form writing, content strategy, and stakeholder management
- Hands-on experience in user research and user testing
- Ability to evaluate and analyse information and data to propose improvements to content to ensure users’ needs are met
- Ability to deliver copy guidelines for a diverse set of teams and online channels, and get them adopted
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, think strategically about product and design, and communicate persuasively to influence decisions
- Experience with different content formats, standards, channels, and platforms-
- Experience working with Agile teams
