**HEALTH AND SAFETY LEAD**

Quotient is recruiting for an Environment, Health and Safety Lead to join the Supply Chain team based at our site near Penicuik (EH26 0BF). The role is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The main responsibilities will include:

- Manage and maintain a Health and Safety Management system to;
- Ensure that all accidents / incidents are investigated thoroughly and robustly with actions taken to correct and prevent recurrence.
- Carrying out inspections and producing recommendations for improvements
- Ensuring Health and Safety inspections are scheduled and completed of all operational areas
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Making changes to working practices that are safe and comply with statutory legislation.
- Review all operational procedures, through action at time of proposed change, to ensure they identify and take appropriate mitigation steps for all relevant hazards
- Lead and participate in environmental awareness and improvement activities.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Relevant health and safety experience in an appropriate industrial environment.
- Practical knowledge and expertise with core IT packages such as MS Office.
