Nursing Associate

Due to the expansion of the nursing team within Brixham Hospital we have an exciting opportunity for a Nursing Associate who has a passion for providing the highest standard of care to Older Adults in an inpatient setting to join this friendly team.

You will be assisted and encouraged with your development in developing clinical skills and managing your own caseload of patient through admission to discharge, including complex discharge management.
- The Nurse Associate and Assistant Practitioner works within the sphere of nursing to provide a high quality of nursing care across the lifespan and fields of nursing. Working under the leadership and delegation of the Registered Nurse, they will assume responsibility for their workload.
- The will work as part of a team, delivering health and social care that focuses on the holistic needs of service users.
- They will carry out specific clinical tasks and responsibilities as delegated by registered practitioners.
- Supervision and teaching of junior staff will be part of the role

Why work with us - Brixham Ward is a 20 bedded in patient ward in Brixham Community Hospital providing care and treatment for predominantly older adults.

Patients are admitted either directly from home or transferred from the acute hospitals for ongoing treatment and rehabilitation and range from a variety of specialities. End of Life Care is also provided.

You will be supported within a friendly and dynamic environment to develop your clinical skills so that you feel confident working alongside the MDT to manage your own caseload of patients.
