Due to Maternity Leave, we in the Central CAMHS (0-14) service are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Clinical Psychologist to join our experienced multi-disciplinary team and work in partnership with young people, their families, carers and partner agencies.

You will offer direct clinical work (specialist assessment, formulation, and intervention (group and individual) with children under 18 years old with a range of mental health difficulties and their families and carers where appropriate). You will provide clinical support and supervision groups to our social workers, nurses, OTs, and assistant practitioner colleagues to integrate psychological understandings to support the management of complex risk and plan care. The role will also offer consultation and develop team formulation. There will be opportunities to provide training to the team and support the implementation of the new clinical pathways, 5 P's formulation project, and service evaluation to improve quality of care and provision in challenging times. We also have a thriving recovery college and there will be an opportunity to contribute to courses if desired.
You will undertake psychological assessment to inform formulation and intervention, and will offer and develop a range of interventions, including direct therapy, including groups and also support interventions in the MDT to manage access to formal psychological therapies.
We are an experienced, cohesive, and supportive MDT, providing formulation driven interventions to meet the needs of children and young people. The post will offer opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed qualified clinical or counselling psychologist to broaden their experience, working with an existing Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Principal Psychological, Highly Specialist Psychologist, Assistant Psychologist and MDT colleagues.

You would be joining a multi-disciplinary team including Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Psychological Therapists, Mental Health Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapist, Social Workers, and Assistant Practitioners. We offer a wide range of therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Systemic Family Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Art and Play Therapy.
We have strong links with the UEA clinical psychology programme and regularly have trainees on placement.
Supervision for this post will be provided by a senior Clinical Psychologist in the service.
