- TE4030-23-144**We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow with a track record in Numerical Modelling of Two-Phase Flows with Phase-Change at meso-scales.**

In this role you will have the opportunity to undertake leading-edge numerical modelling research in boiling heat transfer, develop your current skills and knowledge base, and collaborate with other world-leading researchers in the field.

The post is funded by a prestigious Leverhulme Trust grant that focusses on the development of a numerical simulation framework for advanced, multiscale stochastic simulations of phase transition, with a focus on boiling heat transfer. The contract if full-time and fixed term until 31/01/2025.

In order to be successful in this post, you should have:

- A good (1 or 2:1) degree, preferably in Computational Physics, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Civil, Industrial, Energy, Material Engineering)
- Sufficient, up to date breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline of thermofluids simulations, numerical coding and simulations for high performance computing (HPC), and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes
- Good written and oral communication skills and an attitude of open and active collaboration

A PhD in either engineering, physics, or mathematics and applied mathematics with a strong numerical and/or mathematical modelling background applied to phase-change heat transfer is desirable, but not essential.
