Planning Enforcement Officer

**Spencer Clarke Group** are working closely alongside a Council in Cambridgeshire to assist with the appointment of a**Planning Enforcement Officer**on a part time interim contract.

We are keen to speak to Planning Enforcement Officers with at least 5 years experience in a range of enforcement matters including serving formal notices and prosecution.

You will be responsible for a caseload of enforcement enquiries and assist the Team Leader on more complex cases.

**Contract Details**

**Pay Scale - Inside IR35** - £40 per hour (negotiable)

**Location** - Hybrid working - site visits and in-person meetings as required

**Contract Length** - 3 months ongoing

**Experience Needed**
- A planning / enforcement qualification or hold a similar non-planning vocational qualification.
- Experience dealing with more complex cases involving built development and changes of use including those which require formal action by way of Notices and Prosecution.
- Experience carrying out lone site visits to investigate and gather evidence including interviews and negotiations with developers in potentially adversarial situations
- A good working knowledge of the Town & Country Planning Act, General Permitted Development Order, Advertisement Regulations and Use Classes Order, as well as the procedures and legal processes for formal enforcement action
