Conference and Banqueting Attendant

The role will ensure that guests receive the highest standard of service and hospitality in all Food and Beverage outlets, with emphasis on Conference & Banqueting areas, in line with any legal requirements and regulations laid down by the Union Jack Club.
Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:
- To prepare the Conference & Banqueting rooms ready for service, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the correct standard according to business levels as requested.
- To meet and greet guests in a friendly, polite, and professional manner and always provide a high standard of service in accordance with the company standards.
- To use the function sheets to undertake manual handling tasks, including but not limited to lifting tables, chairs, and boxes to ensure conference and banqueting spaces are set-up correctly.
- To Deliver food and beverages to meeting rooms in accordance to the function sheets and ensure all allergens have been labelled correctly.
- To be able to use a function sheet to set up meeting and event spaces to the client’s specifications.
- To assist the meeting and events manager in the smooth running of events and conferences.
- To ensure cupboards and other storage spaces are always kept organised and tidy to ensure key items are easy to find.
- To undertake regular stock take and ensure we always have the right amount of essential equipment.
- To be able to work as part of a team as well as thrive and use initiative whilst working alone.
- To report any issues or outstanding task to the shift supervisor/manager.
- Attend and /or take all necessary action, statutory and otherwise, in the event of accident, fire, loss, theft, lost property, damage, unfit food or other irregularities and complete the necessary return and/or report
- To inform clients of any payments outstanding for meetings and events
- To advise how to proceed with any payments in accordance to the terms and conditions.
- Attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary from time to time by the Management
- Assist in other departments as and when the business requires
