About the role
With over 7 million documents dating from the 13th to the 21st century, the size and breadth of the Royal Archives offer a truly unique working environment.
Joining the team in Windsor, you'll lead on the large and important project of archiving the official and personal papers of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh.
Supported by the Archives Cataloguer, who you’ll manage, you will undertake the accessioning, cataloguing and review of this vast volume of historic material. The variety of assignments you’ll take on will vary in both scope and scale, from research and interpretation to sharing the documents with different audiences.
You’ll create a clear and accurate record of the material, ensuring others can navigate and access it in the future.
You’ll also curate exhibitions, displays and online resources, as well as answer enquiries from colleagues and researchers.
The breadth of the project will provide opportunities for you to develop your knowledge, taking your career to the next level.

About you
With significant experience of managing and cataloguing archives, you're the expert we're looking for, aiming to bring your skills to a new challenge.
You have a strong understanding of international cataloguing standards, with experience in managing the access to contemporary archives sensitively and effectively.
Using your excellent communication skills, you can quickly build positive relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
Highly organised, you'll be confident managing a small team and will be able to drive its success through motivation and encouragement.
You’re a logical and innovative problem solver too, able to find pragmatic solutions while working under pressure.

**Salary**: £34,000.00 per year
