An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Supervisor within the Planning, Manufacturing and Supply Chain department of the Leicester plant. The role of Operations Supervisor is to provide efficient and timely completion of required works in the department, ensuring that first stages of production can be undertaken when required. Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager you will have supervisory responsibilities for the Manufacturing Support Team and the Planning Team.

Description

Key responsibilities will be to:

- To lead the manufacturing team in CAD/ NC / & BOM set ups in support of the main Operations plan.
- To plan, issue, monitor and expedite (where necessary) production orders (Units and/or After Market/Piece Parts) to ensure orders received by the company are processed, manufactured and supplied in a timely, effective and efficient manner.
- To be able to oversee and delegate own time to area of operations needed to ensure the work gets completed on time.
- To chair/attend and contribute to relevant meetings and drive the actions with the team to completion.
- Ensuring that KPIs are set up for the team and that the team are achieving these daily/weekly/monthly, e.g. On time delivery for the customer.
- Effectively deal with internal queries from stakeholders within the business and be the point of contact for external customers fielding enquiries appropriately.
- Manage performance of the team

You will be a strong people manager who isn’t afraid to challenge where appropriate and can keep the team aligned to business goals. You will be committed to drive to better performance and achieve strong KPIs and have a can-do attitude in all situations.

- Relevant degree or qualified by experience
- Managing and leading a team
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Driving change, ability to challenge
- Proficient in data analysis using an ERP system
- Preferred CAD and/or NC Programming knowledge/experience.
