**_Shared Lives - Making a Difference _**

Join our small specialist team as a Shared Lives Assistant, supporting the Team Leader and Shared Lives Officers.

In these unique roles, vulnerable adults live alongside the carer’s family in domestic settings to receiving personalised care for an ordinary life. The Shared Lives service caters to individuals with learning disabilities, head injuries, physical disabilities, mobility impairment, mental health service users, and older people.

As a Shared Lives Assistant, you will offer sensitive support to Shared Lives Carers across Wiltshire and monitor the quality of existing arrangements to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults placed in their care. In addition, you will take referrals from care managers, ensuring that sufficient information is gathered about the prospective customer to help determine the person’s suitability for shared lives. You will be giving guidance, advice, training, and constructive feedback in sometimes complex situations, ensuring the provision of a safe, effective, caring, and responsive service.

A clean driving license and willingness to travel in Wiltshire are essential and while we are based in Devizes, flexible working arrangements are possible.
