**We have an exciting opportunity available within our EHCP Casework Team. We are looking for a Senior EHCP Casework Officer to manage a geographical area in our Secondary and Post-16 Team.**

**You will be joining Oxfordshire County Council during a time of rapid improvement, in our services and provision for Children and Young People with SEND. Our vision is focused on improving outcomes and supporting Children and Young People to achieve their aspirations**

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Secondary and Post-16 Team Lead Officer, you will be responsible for the line-management of the Secondary and Post-16 EHCP Casework Officers and ensuring that all statutory deadlines are met. You will also take a lead responsibility for advising parents, schools, and providers, to ensure they understand SEND Legislation, and are able to meet to resolve any issues that arise. You will also ensure Children and Young People and their families are at the centre of everything we do.

To guarantee that all processes are compliant with the Children & Families Act 2014, you will need to ensure that;
- a transition process for children and young people into post-16 education is in place and monitored;
- all placements carry out annual reviews;
- EHC plans are amended in a timely way following receipt of the paperwork.

Your role will also involve the preparation of cases for Tribunal and, in some cases, representing the Local Authority in defending Tribunal appeals.
