About the role

Our Enterprise Architects, part of the wider Architecture Team which also includes Solution Architects and Technology Architects, are pivotal in shaping the Strategy and Architecture for the domain(s) within their ownership.

Partnering with Business & Change Leaders, you will support in shaping organisational strategy and will develop the roadmaps that will execute that strategy; directing IT and Change investment to support the delivery of business outcomes in alignment withtechnology strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- Developing Enterprise Architectures and associated artefacts, to proactively guide Pets at Home through transformation, change and optimisation initiatives for your area of ownership.
- Creation of roadmaps and investment plans that align to and support the organisational strategy & development plans
- Building relationships with, engaging & influencing a broad range of stakeholders. Understanding and informing strategies and gaining support for architectural roadmaps
- Supporting the continued growth of the business and driving innovation through the optimal combination of business, people & process change and technology enablement, leveraging both in-house and external technologies
- Act as in internal management consultant, providing insights, expertise and informed recommendations to facilitate decision making and to help drive targeted business outcomes

About You:

- You are an established Enterprise Architect with Retail experience.
- Hold applicable experience across all areas of Enterprise Architecture (Business, Data, Application & Technology), which specialist knowledge in one or more areas.
- Experienced in working with business and technology leaders to define business outcomes and objectives, and to translate into roadmaps and IT or change strategies.
- Able to work well with ambiguity, leading varied groups of stakeholders through complex challenges and change
- Able to work effectively both individually and as part of a team, including in a leadership role of virtual teams.
- Commercially aware with excellent analytical skills, you are able to balance the long term 'big picture’ with short-term implications of individual decisions, in alignment with organisational goals
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels; leveraging excellent written and verbal, communication & presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Practical and pragmatic in problem solving and decision making. Able to both challenge and respond to challenge professionally and effectively.
- You are an active advocate and promoter of Enterprise Architecture as a discipline and the value that it brings to an organisation.
