**Team Supervisor - Kangaroo Healthcare**

**Permanent, Full Time and Part Time**

**From £18,000 per annum (FTE)**

**Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Kangaroo Healthcare to recruit Care Field Supervisor for their care agency covering Braintree and surrounding areas**

**The shift patterns vary with both full time and part time hours available and will require day, night and weekend working. Shift times can be discussed at interview stage.**

Kangaroo Healthcare is a CQC registered domiciliary care and nursing agency operating from Enfield. They have customised their service to cater the needs of every single individual they provide care for.

As a Care Field Supervisor, you will be working with Service users in the Essex area and using the satellite office in Essex to cater for service users in Harlow and Braintree.

**Responsibilities**:

- Carry out assessment of what the Service User needs and what they would like to achieve from their care and support, together with a risk assessment
- Create and agree a written individually tailored plan of care (Care plan) and support that respects the Service User’s wishes and promotes their dignity and privacy. Agree appropriate risk control measures to reduce identified risks. Keep care and support plans up to date
- Provide the Service User and where appropriate their Nok with information about the service so that they are clear about what to expect and how they can raise any concerns
- Work with the Kangaroo Care Coordinator to appropriately match care workers to Service Users. Attend the Service User's first call to introduce the care worker. Report changes to care schedules without delay to the coordinator, Service User and care worker
- Provide advice, training, supervision, and other support to Care Workers and support supervisors as required
- Take part in the out of hours emergency on-call rota as and when required. Effectively deal with emergency on-call issues, for example covering calls either directly or indirectly when Care Workers are sick or absent. Record emergency calls and pass the information to appropriate parties
- Assist in supporting the creation and maintenance of rotas
- Arrange and manage staff changeovers and briefings for live in care assignments in the absence of the care manager
- Monitor the performance of care workers and carry out quality reviews at the Service User’s home to make sure the service is being delivered in line with company procedures

**Please note as this is a home care role, applicants will need to have a full driver’s licence and access to their own vehicle.**
