**The role and what you'll be doing**

We are currently recruiting for a QA Lead who will be fundamental in mentoring coaching and leading QA engineers to help deliver world class scalable software.
- Lead a team of QA Engineers and drive a forward autonomous working and a shift left approach.
- Provide Strategic leadership to the QA Team
- Deliver high quality products and features into production that will meet our customer and business needs
- Works with the Product Owners and Business Analysts to capture clear and concise details which enable your team to prove the acceptance criteria has been achieved
- Continuously strive for a high-quality approach to testing within your area and on all projects
- Ensures that test automation is embedded in projects and work closely with Developers to create a unified approach to testing.
- Work to improve the capability and processes of the Quality Engineering, Engineering and IT functions by suggesting and supporting improvements and sharing knowledge

- Experience leading, coaching and growing quality mindset with engineering teams.
- Extensive Automation testing experience
- Experience of shifting the QA process to the left, engaging with the team at the right level and helping the team understand what and how to test
- Experience of influencing a delivery approach, to put quality at the forefront of delivery practice
- Worked with multiple Agile delivery methodologies such as Kanban, Lean and Scrum.
- Worked in an environment guided by the DORA metrics with experience of introducing changes that both increase velocity and stability.
- Experience of testing strategies aligned with a microservices architecture including the use of contract testing (e.g. PACT)
- Can provide examples of relentlessly pursuing continuous improvement and building quality in.
- Experience transforming to a Continuous Delivery (CD) mindset across multiple stakeholders (e.g. tech, delivery, QA, BA, product, biz)
- Worked in a Lean environment.
- Recognises the limitations of end-to-end testing and can suggest alternative approaches.
- Has experience introducing ideas from a Testing in Production approach.
