**Role Responsibilities
- To achieve compliant and cost-effective procurement of high value/risk goods, works and/or services
- To facilitate cultural change across the council to deliver effective and efficient procurement
- To implement the council’s procurement strategy to drive economic regeneration through, for example, facilitating procurement from local organisations (particularly micro and small businesses and the voluntary and community sector) and creating employment/apprenticeship/education/trainingopportunities for local people
- To reduce the environmental impact of the council’s procurement activity
- To implement and promote Council's policies and procedures relating to all areas of employment and service delivery

**Role Requirements:
- Significant experience and knowledge of procurement, tendering and contract management processes, including complex, high risk and value projects within Public Sector
- Ability to manage, prioritise and meet deadlines, including the ability to work unsupervised if necessary
- Ability to compile, produce, summarise and present management/ statistical/technical reports (and other documentation), using strong analytical skills and ensuring attention to detail
