Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Health and Safety Officer to join our team at Gilbert Meher Ltd. as a temporary member of staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of both residents and staff in our care homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure compliance with health and safety standards across care homes, with a focus on adult social care.
- Provide support and guidance to care home staff on maintaining a safe environment for vulnerable adults.
- Assist in the implementation of a new audit framework, ensuring it meets regulatory standards and best practices.
- Lead on fire safety protocols, including risk assessments and fire drills.
- Take on ad hoc projects as required, ensuring a proactive approach to safety and compliance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in health and safety within adult social care settings.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and the ability to implement robust safety measures.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage ad hoc projects.
- Willingness to travel nationally as required.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a hybrid working environment.
Contract Details:
- Contract Type: Interim (minimum 3 days per week, potential for full-time)
- Rate: £400 per day (plus expenses)
