The Bread Factory is a Food Manufacturing bakery dedicated to making deliciously crafted bread, cakes and pastries. We are proud to craft products for our GAIL’s bakeries, neighbourhood grocery stores, restaurants and more

As our teams grow, we are on the lookout for our next Quality Controller based at our site in Hendon.

**Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing**:

- Make appropriate decisions and determine solution outcomes which assure product safety and quality in conjunction with line and area coordinators
- Compile and issue audit reports and summaries, with requirements for corrective and preventive actions as agreed
- Ensure that root cause analysis is carried out for significant or trending non-conformances
- Verify and calibrate key equipment in accordance with the schedule
- Be the primary contact in the event of food safety and quality issues in the bakery areas

**Here are some key areas we think you can impact in this role**:

- Manage non-conforming material, ensuring that substandard material is not released to the customer
- Carry out Good Manufacturing Practice audits in accordance with the schedules
- Train updated quality system procedures and product information to relevant teams
- Investigate customer complaints and provide reports detailing root cause and actions taken
- Review competence on a periodic and ongoing basis to ensure that procedures and processes are understood, implemented and effective

- 2+ years food manufacturing experience, preferably in a technical role
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Level 3 HACCP
- Level 3 Food Safety
- Auditor Qualification
- Recognised allergen qualification
- A basic understanding of customer codes of practice (e.g. allergen, labelling and coding, and foreign body detection)
- Training in root cause analysis methods and tools
- Proficient in Microsoft packages, especially Excel
