Residential Support Worker

Cobham House is a residential home providing accommodation for Children and Young People with emotional and behavioural difficulties, often related to complex trauma and attachment difficulties, aged from 8-17.
Our amazing management and staff team supports and cares for young people from a variety of backgrounds while teaching them useful life skills that will help them succeed as independent adults.
Support workers are needed for our 24-hour residential home in Ilford. This is a crucial part of how our service helps young people in our care achieve the best possible outcomes.
This job is for full time and part time positions.
You will be dedicated to giving our young people outstanding, person-centred care, enthusiastic in your approach, forceful in trying and challenging circumstances, and possess strong interpersonal skills. We're looking for people who will advance with the company and contribute steadily over time.
The pay for this post is from £11.00 per hour depending on experience.
Ideally you will have:
At least an NVQ level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent Health & Social Care or youth related qualification.
Minimum of 2 years working in a residential setting
Excellent safeguarding experience
A recent fully enhanced DBS ( or be prepared to have one processed with us )
Good experience of key working with looked after children with complex caseloads
Good standard of written work and ability to complete key working reports, care plans and progress reports
Excellent work ethic and passion for working to progress young people to successful independence
Knowledge and good experience of gang, child criminal exploitation / county lines and CSE. Including LAC / MISPER processes
Ability to manage challenging behaviour and engage with young people in care
Full drivers licence ( desirable )
