**Full Time Position**

**Average 42.5 hours per week on a rolling rota including weekends 8am-4.30pm (Occasional Night checks 8.30-9pm)**

Horses and Ponies Protection Association are recruiting for an Equine Care Supervisor with specialist skills and knowledge of handling nervous and young horses from the ground with excellent stable management skills. The job role is a shared role working alongside a second Equine Care Supervisor with a specialism in ridden work.

The role is a hands-on position to supervise the work of the Equine Care Officers under the direction of the Equine Manager. This includes supervising the daily workings of a busy rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming centre, the rehabilitation of resident horses, monitoring and reviewing their progress and assessing them for suitability for re-homing.

The post holder must be a confident individual with good communication abilities and people managements skills. A competent equestrian with the knowledge and experience to ensure the horses in are given exemplary standards of rehabilitation.

The position requires a proficient confident equine handler with excellent stable management skills and provide an excellent customer care service, due to the charity welcoming visitors to site all year round.
