Hi, Dave here I wanted to put my own spin on this job description, to give a little more insight into the role and why it might be a unique experience for the right person. But first, I'll start with a little about myself.

I am the Founder and CEO of Glean (formerly Sonocent) and I'm on a mission to improve _all_ learners' confidence and ability to acquire knowledge from the world's information. We believe that technology can help support students in developing valuable study habits and skills and that the process of creating notes from content is foundational. I describe myself as an education visionary with over 10 years' experience in the industry and I'm highly passionate about helping as many people as possible reach their learning potential. I'm proud of the strong network I've built across SaaS, Education and AT, which has enabled me to speak at tech conferences worldwide and guest-lecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Over the last decade the Glean team has achieved a lot, but I truly believe this is only the beginning for us. We are at a very exciting point in our growth journey and with that comes fresh challenges for the organisation as well as for me as its leader. **Prioritisation and Structure ‍**️‍**️‍**️** In all honesty, I'm not naturally super structured, but a key part of your responsibility is to help bring structure to the chaotic world of a scale-up. You make sure things we're working on, or prioritising, don't fall through the cracks and will create systems and processes to manage and triage my workflow.

**Fast paced environment** This is a fast paced environment, things change frequently. But you will thrive if you have the right attitude, are meticulously organised and are always thinking one step ahead. In a changing environment, you will ensure I'm always thinking about the most important things.

**New challenges, every day. **There will be variety & new challenges that come hand in hand with the scale-up environment. As a scale-up CEO I wear many hats, from hiring to strategic planning & everything else in-between, so my time is often limited. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;

**Executive Administrative and Organisational Support**
- Proactively plan the CEO's time with the view to maximising his efficiency
- Create processes and systems to improve the CEO's organisation and effectiveness
- Building a strong understanding of business priorities, gradually gaining the ability to instinctively understand where the CEO's time is best spent
- Providing extensive meeting support, including preparing agendas, briefings and action points
- Managing relations across a breadth of stakeholder groups, both internally and externally

**CEO 360 Support**
- Content creation - assist in creating compelling and creative presentations, and acting as a ghostwriter to the CEO
- Highly involved with research to help create compelling, evidence based narratives, including reading, digesting and summarising a range of material and delegating to the CEO as appropriate
- Identifying key networking opportunities for the CEO
- Project management - actively drive the the CEO's most critical projects and strategic initiatives, take the lead on projects where appropriate and facilitate seamless collaboration
- Ad hoc additional support where necessary
