We have developed an exciting weekend brunch menu which has been in operation for 8 months already with huge success and are now looking for additional support in the kitchen to allow more in house food items to be prepared at The Press Room in Twickenham.

The main responsibilities of the role are in the kitchen. Our kitchen support person will be required to work weekends on Saturday and Sunday 10am-4 pm and Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8am -2pm, to support our chef and help them to execute our brunch menu to the highest quality and ensure all practices in the kitchen are met according to food safety and hygiene standards. Our café operational hours are generally between 7.30am to 5pm daily with a hot food service offered until 3pm on weekends.

This is a great opportunity to learn some new skills including those of food preparation, helping to maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, food safety and hygiene and working in a team. They will report to the chef, who leads the kitchen and reports to the General Manager of the Twickenham site. The kitchen team is currently made up of the owner, general manager, a food consultant, and chef.

Prior experience of working in a team or being part of a restaurant environment is useful, however this role may be suitable for someone looking to switch careers and is looking for the flexibility of a part time role and is reliable, adaptable, and willing to learn. Therefore, no previous kitchen experience is also acceptable.
