Road Load Data is part of the Engineering Laboratories team working within the Engineering Operations business unit. Road Load Data (RLD) supports multiple CoCs with the provision of design and performance in-vehicle measurements. The department has itsown range of measurement and test facilities which are used to measure and verify vehicle, commodity and system level targets or requirements.

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:

- Development and maintenance of fatigue, frequency and real-time analysis toolset and methodology.
- Working on all aspects of motor vehicle, from initial prototypes to through to series production.
- Analysis and verification of measured data (from acceleration, load, torque, displacement, pressure and temperature transducers).
- Standardised reporting of relevant information and findings.
- Road Load Data to Rig correlation activities

**Experience Required**:

- Signal processing and test data analysis skills.
- Understanding of electrical, mechanical and control systems.
- Appreciation of transducer technologies and how their precision can influence product or experiments and the capability to verify and analysis real-time data.
- Appreciation of fatigue and frequency domain analysis background theory and methodology.
- Prepared to project manage post-processing activities from data interrogation through to report out.
- Experience with real-time signal visualisation and manipulation tools.

**Experience Preferred**:

- Knowledge and experience of working on prototype vehicles, chassis and driveline components.
- Demonstrate some understanding of PCDS and gateway delivery and the need to comply with its timings.
- Knowledge of quality standards and their importance.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, Risk Assessment, COSHH and QS.

**Education Required**:

- Educated to degree level in an engineering or allied discipline.
- Signal processing and test data analysis skills.
- Understanding of electrical, mechanical and control systems.

**Education Preferred**:

- Key Interactions Analysis
- Lead Engineer Measurement
- Engineers Attribute and Commodity Leads.
