Amazing Harmonies is a community singing group based in North West Edinburgh. It is an organization aimed at building tolerance, unity, and celebrating diversity through Music, cultural activities and youth work. Our key programmes are oriented towards the development of youths through confidence building workshops, a music education programme, and culture celebration days promoting various cultures. We're looking for someone who can be a strong community leader as well as possesses the skills to manage and develop our choir and youth programmes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic music leader who can direct our choir and youth work, as well as experience in general administrative skills.

**Job description**

The post holder’s responsibilities will include:
Person Specification:

- Ability to lead and organize the choir
- Experience in youth work
- Ability to work with a diverse range of people and age groups
- Ability to show empathy and tolerance
- Experience in community Development
- Ability to build up our choral membership
- Strong communication skills
- Leadership skills
- Must be creative, assertive and have a passion for music
- Attending workshops and relevant community events and trainings.
- Working closely with Volunteers
- Listening to young people/participants and taking into account their ideas and involving them in the development and delivery of Ama-zing Harmonies activities.
- Being aware of, and compliant with, all Ama-zing Harmonies policies, and Code Of Conduct.
- Being aware of, and complying with, the child-safety regulations and other policies of any partner organizations visited as part of the role.
- Any other agreed roles

Other Key Requirements:

- Experience of working with volunteers
- Demonstrable experience of conceiving projects in consultation with communities
- Ability to build and maintain meaningful relations and partnerships with all stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience of managing and successfully delivering projects
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate and express ideas clearly and succinctly to a wide range of audiences
- Ability to work calmly under pressure whilst delivering high quality work standards

**Desirables**

Experience in funding or grant writing

Promotional and marketing skills

Management or leadership qualities

Musical qualities.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Volunteer

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 21 per week
