We are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Care Workers /Home Carers to join our team. This role is ideally suited to individuals who have a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Your primary responsibility will be to provide personalised support to our clients in their homes and during various activities, fostering a sense of independence, confidence, and joy in their daily lives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver personalised support based on each client's unique needs and preferences
- Assisting with personal tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Helping with administering medication, ensuring that individuals take their medication at the correct times and monitoring side effects or reactions.
- Aiding with movement, including helping individuals get in and out of bed, move about their home, or go outside.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation
- Accompany clients to various outings, such as shopping, football matches, and other activities
- Establish and maintain supportive relationships with clients, promoting their independence and improving their quality of life
- Complete and maintain accurate, timely reports and records
- Acting as a liaison with other health and social care professionals and advocating on behalf of the care recipient to ensure they receive the services and support they need.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and codes of practice, ensuring high standards are consistently met

**Requirements**:

- Current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Completion of all mandatory training required for the role (We support with training if you don't have any)
- Experience in a similar role would be beneficial but is not essential, as we value the right attitude and dedication
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and resilience in various situations
- A compassionate, empathetic approach with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others
- The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet the needs of our clients

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: £26,200.00-£27,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Gloucester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
