**HR and People Officer**

Salary - £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience

Hours of work - full time (part time considered)

Our client is based in Denton, Manchester. They are one of the UK’s largest and fastest growing independent business rates specialist, who pride themselves in their integrity and commitment to clients.

They have engaged over 47,000 properties and offer their services to commercial property owners and tenants alike.

They are looking for a highly organised, self-motivated, HR and People Officer who has a good understanding of basic employment legislation and is aware of the importance of confidentiality. You will need exceptional attention to detail, be comfortable withconfrontation and be able to cope well under pressure, in a busy environment.

Whilst working as a stand-alone HR and People Officer, your role will be varied and challenging and will include but will not be limited
- Supporting line managers to deliver people policies, coaching and training as necessary;
- Recruitment activities: onboarding, absence management, attendance at meetings, disciplinary hearings and getting involved in people conversations;
- Collation of payroll information on a monthly basis;
- Creating initiatives to support engagement, retention and cultural change;
- Working closely with our external consultants to deliver our people agenda; and
- General HR administration duties: offer letters, contracts of employment, taking notes at meetings and creating outcome letters.

To be considered for this role, you must:

- Be CIPD Level 3 or qualified;
- Have experience of working within a private business, ideally in a standalone HR role;
- Be able to build relationships of trust at all levels;
- Be motivated and happy to do administration and to get involved with all HR activities;
- Have experience of using HR management software (experience of Bright HR desired, but not essential);
- Be familiar with using Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook and Excel;
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills; and
- Be able to prioritise your own workload, and work unsupervised, as well as working within a team.
