Roberts Transport (Sussex) Ltd a UK based chilled distribution company to major RDC's and smaller retailers alike within the UK and Europe and are also part of 2 of the largest UK Pallet Networks. Due to expansion we are looking for a Weekend Transport Planner to join the existing team (3 Days).

As a weekend Transport Planner you will you will need to be reliable, flexible and able to take responsibility with a can do attitude. You will be planning, organisng and managing the work of drivers and their routes over the weekend following on from our week day planner. Most of the work will be pre planned but you will need to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organisational requirements and so that it reaches the customer on time and in perfect condition. A key element of the role is monitoring all routes and escalating any issues appropriately and responding to driver issues over the weekend.

This role can be done from home but you will need to be in the office Friday lunchtime and Monday morning for a handover.

Key Skills:
Experience of administration in a busy transport environment
PC literate (Word and Excel minimum)
Good verbal and written communication with attention to detail
Good understanding of the WTD & Tacho laws
Comply with working time directive rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
