Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to be engaged on a contract basis in Barrow.

**Role**

Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the group payrolls. The provision of appropriate and accurate information to Finance. The provision of information and payments to HMRC, statutory bodies and pension providers. Administration of payrolled company benefits.

**Responsibilities**
- Processing of monthly and quarterly payrolls
- Create and maintain required statutory records
- Filing of statutory returns to HMRC to correct standards and legislated deadlines, inc P11d
- Filing of statutory returns to authorised 3rd Parties to correct standards and legislated deadlines
- Administration of company pension returns to correct standards and legislated deadlines
- Administration of various payroll company benefits, including query resolution
- Undertaking monthly and year end reconciliations
- Providing information to the Company auditors both internal and external when
- required
- Liaise with HR to ensure accurate processing of all pay elements
- Respond to business and employee queries by telephone and via payroll inbox
- Ensure regular checks are made to ensure the integrity of the payroll database
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- Ideally with a minimum 2 years’ experience, holding CIPP or AAT payroll qualifications.
- Good attention to detail, strong customer focus, good communication & organizational
- skills, flexible approach, good problem solving skills.
- Excellent IT skills required, including use of computerized payroll systems.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and on own initiative whilst being a team player.attitude
