This is an important role in helping us achieve our ambition to be the World’s No.1 retailer of character clothing as you will be creating the public ‘face’ of our products.

The Trading Assistant plays a pivotal role within our e-commerce team, responsible for the strategic management and optimization of product listings and sales across major online marketplaces, with a primary focus on Amazon but also supporting other key accounts including Walmart, Ebay, Debenhams & Next. This multifaceted role combines product content optimization with administrative and operational support functions, making it a linchpin for our digital retail success. The Trading Assistant ensures product visibility, competitive pricing, and overall marketplace performance, all while providing crucial support to the trading team.

In addition to researching compelling product titles and descriptions, the Trading Assistant provides key administrative and operational support to the trading team. This includes monitoring stock levels, identifying new trading opportunities, and meticulously preparing reports and documents. Organisational skills and keen attention to detail are essential to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring that our trading operations run smoothly and efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Product Listing Management**:

- Optimize product titles, descriptions, images, and keywords for improved search visibility.
- Monitor and maintain product content, ensuring it reflects accurate information and stays competitive in the marketplace.
- Conduct comprehensive product keyword research to identify high-performing and relevant keywords across multiple languages, driving increased product discoverability and visibility on online marketplaces.
- Develop engaging and informative infographics and videos that visually showcase product features, benefits, and usage instructions, enhancing product listings' appeal and user engagement.

**2. Pricing and Competitor Analysis**:

- Monitor competitor products and market trends.
- Adjust pricing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness.
- Utilize pricing tools and algorithms to automate and streamline pricing decisions.

**3. Inventory Management**:

- Coordinate with the FBA and Merchandising teams to ensure timely restocking and product availability.
- Implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and associated costs on Marketplaces.

**4. Performance Analytics**:

- Generate and analyse sales reports, track key performance metrics, and provide actionable insights.

**7. Marketing and Promotion**:

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotions and coupons.
- Implement marketing strategies to increase product visibility and drive sales.

**8. Vendor and Partner Relationships**:

- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, vendors, and marketplace representatives.

**Qualifications**

**Education**:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).

**Experience**:

- Experience in e-commerce, online retail, or marketplace management is desired but training will be provided.
- Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central and Walmart Seller Center is a plus.

**Skills**:

- Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing concepts.
- Knowledge on the brands and characters we sell.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn in a dynamic marketplace environment.
- Other languages, preferably European, would be advantageous but not essential.
- Competent in Photoshop for crafting visually captivating content.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
