As part of our Organisational Development Programme, the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (OPFCC) have an exciting new opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual with excellent organisational, interpersonal and customer service skills to join us in the role of Customer Service Assistant in the Customer Service team in Harrogate.
The Customer Service team at the OPFCC are crucial in making sure that members of the public feel confident in raising their concerns about the Police and Fire Services and that they will be listened to and taken seriously. Making complaints about these services can be a nerve wrecking experience for the individual and as a Customer Service Assistant you will help us deliver a positive experience that the public deserve. Your support will allow the Commissioner to continue to hold the Police and Fire Services to account.
You will be joining us at a very important and exciting time, as we move forward in terms of delivering the Commissioner’s vision, projects, and services in support of the community here in North Yorkshire helping people to be safe and feel safe.
**To be successful in the role, you will**:
You will be required to provide a full range of administrative and clerical support within the Customer Service environment, which includes our flagship Complaints and Recognition team. As we also provide administrative services across OPFCC scrutiny activities, this will include attendance at scrutiny meetings where you will be responsible for generating clear and accurate notes as minutes which are then produced in a timely fashion. Therefore, as well as being proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages (including Excel, Word, and Outlook) you will have excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records. You will also undergo training on our internal IT systems.
In addition, your role will include general office administrative duties to include a variety of administrative tasks in support of the OPFCC and our volunteers. You will be able to clearly prioritise your workload, dealing with customer/volunteer enquiries promptly and offering them a first-class customer service experience and where necessary, you will escalate any such enquiries to the relevant department/individual.
