Modern Paper is a Tissue Paper Converting & Manufacturing company based in South East London. We serve the consumer market with toilet rolls and kitchen towels via cash-and-carry outlets and other retailers.

The team at Modern Paper brings decades of international experience in the professional hygiene and tissue paper conversion business.

Our state-of-the-art, fully equipped hub is centrally located to the East of London. This 4.5-acre facility is equipped with two brand new converting lines which are capable of producing 20k tonnes of paper product per annum.

**Job description**

**The Role**

The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for order picking, goods in, and goods out operations to ensure that the orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of products meets customers' timescales/requirements.The holder of this role will report directly to the Production Manager.

**Main Responsibilities**:
As a Warehouse Specialist, you will be working in a production area and your duties will be as followed:

- Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of products meets customers' timescales/requirements.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Supervise and proactively control order picking, goods in, and goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
- Organise, facilitate, and manage stock takes at regular intervals.
- Identify errors and eliminate root causes using robust countermeasures whilst adopting corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues.
- Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system to ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy.
- Completing and maintaining all daily and weekly reports and logs for the warehouse.
- To ensure that the warehouse area is kept a clean and safe environment, mitigating any health and safety risks.
- Taking responsibility and ownership in problem resolution.
- Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety, and Quality related procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team.

**About you**:
As a Warehouse Specialist, you will have the following skills and experience:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the warehouse
- Strong knowledge of MS Office programs, warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and best practices in logistics.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on operational requirements.
- Prior experience in the Tissue Paper Converting industry is preferred.
- Able to work 5 days a week - Monday to Saturday,
