Opening May 2023, The Municipal Hotel Liverpool MGallery invites all life enjoyers to experience unique stories from the past but also to write the astonishing tales of the future. 178 bedrooms in a remarkable and inspiring landmark of the city. **A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FINANCE ASSISTANT AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL**
- What you'll be doing..._

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you can expect your working day to include the following duties.

You will be responsible for the following;
- Assisting with purchase ledger processes and sales ledger processes
- Ensuring revenue and charges are captured and recorded accurately
- Ensuring audit standards are adhered to inclusive of the preparation of year end audit files, and liaising with auditors.
- Checking and sending out the sales ledger invoices, to ensure the invoice is accurate and has supporting backup.
- Cash control including preparation and posting of bank reconciliations, cash credit card reconciliations.
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, ensuring variances and areas of risk are identified and actioned appropriately.
- To support the Financial Controller with any other departmental responsibilities.

**WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU**

To succeed in the role of Finance Assistant, you will need the following qualities and skills.
- Ideally you would be working as an Accounts Assistant with experience in Hospitality.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work within deadlines and manage own workload.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills.
