Lead the development and establishment of University Hospitals of Leicester’s Organisational strategy.
- Ensure specialty and departmental plans/strategies align with University Hospitals of Leicester’s, Values, Vision, and mission.
- Communicating strategic plans to all elements of the organisation, including the Trust Executive.
- Monitoring national and local policy to understand the implications/opportunities for the short, medium, and long term time frame.
- Reviewing and revising existing strategies as needed based on changing conditions in national or local policy environment.
- Identifying new treatments, pathways or research implications for services where there is potential for growth or decommissioning.
- Work with communication leads to develop an approach to sharing of new strategic opportunities.
- Creating a short, medium, and long-term vision for the future of the company based on research and analysis of current trends.
- Establishing long term goals for the organisation and specialties within it.
- Ensure the implementation of the current Trust strategy throughout the annual planning cycle and year-round strategic decision making.
- Working with the Head of Strategy, support specialties across University Hospitals of Leicester to design personalised delivery plans which identify the steps required to deliver on the strategic priorities for the organisation.
- Provide a quarterly progress report to the Associate Director of Strategy and Partnerships on the delivery of the Trusts annualized strategic priorities.
- Act as a bridge between University Hospitals of Leicester and the Integrated Care System Planning functions. Specifically ensure system wide strategies align to those produced within University Hospitals of Leicester.
- Provide Strategic, Planning and Partnership support to Clinical Management Groups within UHL.
