Operating throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland, Forge Leisure (UK) Ltd are an established and leading manufacturer of swimming pool cover systems. Supplied predominately to pools in the commercial sector, the company is currently seeing huge interest from pool operators keen to achieve carbon and energy reduction from this proven technology
About the role:
- An exciting hybrid role utilising both your core manufacturing skills and supervisory experience
- Providing hands-on production support where and when required
- Lathe/Milling Machining or Electronic Assembly. Either would be an important asset to this role
- Take the lead and direct production staff on the advancement and implementation of working methods, to guarantee correct fabrication and assembly, whilst maintaining quality standards
- Planning and leading of the production team, and process delivery
- Reviewing production schedules, adjusting in real time as necessary to ensure that strict deadlines are met
- Ensure operations are consistently delivered within target times and costs
- Procure materials and components to meet the needs of all production departments, managing both goods inward and goods out
- Monitor and revise minimum order quantities for all aspects of production, and ensure that adequate resources are allocated to allow timely despatch
- Quality Control, monitoring drawings and finished quality, ensuring that our clients expectations are met each and every time
- Actively work to reduce scrap levels and improve RFT, reducing reworks and improving FTQ
- Ensure Health & Safety requirements are maintained and standards are adhered to at all times
About you:
- Your core production skill will be in either machining or electronic assembly, experienced with a proven track record in your field of expertise
- Have experience in a complex, multi-disciplined role, specifically within the manufacturing sector
- Be flexible and proactive, always looking for improved ways of working
- Be confident in your ability to attend production meetings with management and colleagues, contributing any advisories that may adversely impact on the production schedule
- You will be well organised with an eye for detail
- A good level of computer literacy, used to software apps and related smart phone/hand-held technologies
- Be a team player and able to effectively communicate with colleagues
- A comprehensive understanding of, and a commitment to the highest standards of Health & Safety in the workplace
- You must hold a full UK driving licence
- A fork lift licence would be preferred but not essential
- Willing to undertake any training and development deemed appropriate to your role
