Andover, United Kingdom Aster Group Full time

Are you an experienced leader, with a background in data quality? If so, please keep reading.

This role will see you join our Data Quality Team, working directly with the Assistant Director, Data Management and Transformation.

The role will see you play a pivotal part in supporting Aster’s data vision and transformation. You’ll work to increase data literacy, quality and the accountability that the business holds, helping to transform the way in which data is used and giving assurance that it’s well managed and accurate. You’ll lead on the creation and development of Aster’s data dictionary to ensure we are all speaking the same language when it comes to data.

You’ll be leading a Data Quality Analyst and Data Steward Partner, acting as an ambassador for data quality and best practice. The leadership you provide will give direction to data quality and stewardship activities across Aster.

This will be a key role in supporting data governance, ensuring that data quality issues are addressed. You will be the main business contact for the team providing advice on best practice and you’ll support data quality initiatives alongside Aster’s strategic plans.

**About you**

You will have demonstrable leadership experience ideally within a data quality team. You will naturally coach as a leader supporting your team to have a great day at work, sharing your knowledge and experience to encourage learning and growth.

You will have strong technical skills in Excel and Power BI and will have a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products.

You will have a strong working knowledge of databases, how they work, how they support businesses and ideally how they can provide efficiencies and value for money.

You’ll have all those key attributes that work well with data roles, you’ll be analytical, with strong numeracy and statistical skills. You’ll work well to deadlines, your attention to detail will be a strength and you will be confident presenting data to colleagues where this isn’t their strength.

You will have a good understanding of the regulatory and legislative environment that Aster operate within.

This role will enable you to work from home or the office, whichever suits you. You will from time to time need to attend face to face meetings, so being happy to travel within our operating region will be a requirement.

**What’s in it for me**

We invest in our colleagues because we know if they have a better day at work, the service our customers receive will be better. The Aster Offer is our offer to our colleagues to ensure they have a great day at work and includes things like:

- Flexible working - whilst some roles need to be carried out in a specific place at a specific time, where possible we encourage our colleagues to work to their own schedule at a location that suits them, their team and our business’ needs
- A focus on colleague wellbeing - workshops, an employee assistance programme offering counselling and support, mental health training and a health cash plan
- We invest in colleagues’ careers and development through our leader and colleague development frameworks
