**What’s in it for you**:
A caring individual living in the Weymouth/Portland area is required to support a young person with special education needs attending Mountjoy School, Beaminster on home to school transport. The applicant should be available to travel on school transport with the young person between 0700 and 1000 and 1400 and 1700 Monday to Friday during school term time (38 weeks per year). The hours are approximately 20 per week.

**What you can expect to be doing**:
Comprehensive induction training is given to support you in the role of special education needs passenger assistant before you commence your duties. Ongoing training and support is given upon appointment to the post. The applicant must be able to manage young people who may have challenging behaviour at times and be able to liaise with the school on occasions to seek support and advice for issues that may arise on the school journey. Medical training may also need to be completed to undertake the role.

**About you**:
No formal qualifications are required for the role, but you should be kind, caring, confident, flexible and patient as a person.

**Additional information**:
A full regulated adults and children DBS check is undertaken by Dorset Council on the successful applicant.

- the number of hours
- the number of weeks worked
- paid annual leave entitlement for an employee under 5 years’ service

In the first year of service this salary may need to be adjusted to ensure you are paid accurately to reflect your holiday entitlement. A similar adjustment may be made at the point your employment ends to ensure that you are paid accurately for the number of days worked in any academic year.

This role is UK based and we will need to establish your Right to Work as part of the appointment process.
