**Due to expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a qualified HR Officer to join our team in Lymm, Cheshire, W**A13.**

The position is a generalist HR position, based at our Head Office in Lymm. The successful **HR Officer** will play a pivotal role, acting as the first point of call for many people issues and coordinating and managing HR casework.

The HR Officer will support the HR Manager to achieve the highest standards of HR support. You will provide high-quality standards to maintain a motivated and dedicated workforce.

- You will hold a CIPD L5 qualification, or be working towards this
- A minimum of two years’ HR operational experience
- A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of employment law and HR best practice
- Strong level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power point and a HR Information System
- Have a true love and passion for HR
- Be pro-active and able to use initiative, with the ability to respond confidentially to challenging situations
- The ability to work autonomously without daily supervision, with outstanding organisational skills
- Strong ethical standards and a role model for the organisation’s values and behaviours
- Flexibility to cover business needs
- To engage in ongoing professional development and be committed to upskilling current knowledge in employment law and wider HR updates.
- A full driving licence is required

**Duties and responsibilities**
- To ensure adherence to Bright Futures Code of Conduct
- To operationally support the company with a ‘hands-on’ approach, to ensure HR is visible and available for all employees
- To actively champion best practice, fairness, consistency, and legal compliance in all people-orientated initiatives
- To provide excellent assistance and support to employees and managers by working closely with and supporting line managers to understand and implement HR policy and process
- To develop, advise on and implement policies which support optimal performance of our teams
- To support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
- Support the management of ER casework - disciplinary, grievance, performance management. Ensuring the casework tracker is updated in real time
- To support the probation review process and attend meetings
- To coach line managers to support their delivery of performance management, objective setting and providing effective feedback to employees
- To control the process that supports effective absence management, providing timely data and advising on appropriate action and referrals to Occupational Health
- To actively champion employee welfare by holding supportive welfare meetings and implementing welfare initiatives
- To support and coach managers conducting investigations
- Support employees with queries in relation to conditions of employment, working practices and IRIS HR
- To ensure compliance of DBS certification for re-checking and managing ongoing queries
- To manage the leaver process - retaining talented employees via motivational factors and conducting all exit interviews where necessary
- To complete administration-centred activities within the HR department
- Develop and deliver HR-related training and development programmes e.g. MH Awareness
- To control the HR communication strategy by taking ownership of all visual displays e.g. employee benefits, ‘Did You Know’ updates
- To be a Super User of IRIS HR; manage all employee records, ensure records are updated, set up report templates in Quick Queries, and run detailed reports as required
- To produce detailed monthly HR data reports and KPIs, to include retention, Bradford Factor, absence by site
- To be familiar with and comply with current employment law and statutory guidance
