Cashier

**Position**:
We now have an opportunity for a **Cashier** **to join our Finance team**,** on a permanent basis. This position is **hybrid**, with **office location options** at Weybridge (Brooklands), Dartford and Croydon.

**About you**:
You will be a team player, working collaboratively with the finance team and supporting the wider business departments with their cashier task needs. You will have an eye for detail, process and policy. You will enjoy the role responsibility of ensuring the smooth banking & recording of all monies received and paid by the company.

**About the role (Overview)**:

- 40hrs per week with a hybrid working pattern, with a choice of business locations.
- To ensure that within your area of responsibility all Internal Control System (ICS) requirements are met in accordance with the specified Hedin Automotive London Ltd control procedures and processes.
- Ensure timely receipt of departmental banking sheets from individual sites on a daily basis.
- Post banking into the Pinewood DMS including finance income and payments for vehicle purchases.
- Daily checks on deposit control accounts to ensure all receipts are reconciled.
- Ensure all receipts are posted by end of 1st day of new month.
- Daily reviews of site cash debt liaising with sites regarding queries.
- Manage refunds, settlements and vehicle purchases, ensuring all transactions are handled promptly and accurately.
- Support in and assist with the clearing of any backlog transactions to ensure the maintenance of accurate accounts.
- Carry out any other required accounting duties.

**Skills and Experience**
- Experience of working within a finance department
- Being a team player is essential to being successful within this role
- Excellent communication skills
- Integrity / Trustworthy
- Competent with Microsoft Excel
- Computer literate
- Ability to plan and organise, working to tight deadlines
- PC/I.T. literate with an eye for detail to ensure accurate recording of information
- Ability to work with targets and achieve business and personal KPI’s (key performance indicators)
