C4I R&T Deliver Lead

Thales in Templecombe are currently on the look out for a Delivery Lead to join our C4I R&T team. The C4I R&T Delivery Lead will work closely with the C4I Research and Concepts Lead to deliver a portfolio of Customer Funded and Self-Funded R&T activities. The role will require a mix of work package and engineering management capabilities as well as the ability to technically lead some aspects of the work where required.

Key responsibilities within this role would include:

- Manage preparation and delivery of small C4I CFR&T bids and proposals
- Including the work required to ensure the bid passes internal gate reviews
- Manage delivery of small C4I CFR&T projects
- This may include managing deliveries from external parties
- Manage delivery of C4I SFR&D work packages - including both internal and external
- Report on the status of C4I SFR&D and CFR&T portfolio - including both technical and project management aspects
- Understand and report the forward load for C4I SFR&D and CFR&T, working with Project Control to ensure this is reflected in the S&OP process
- Manage internal resources and forward load for delivery of C4I CFR&T and SFR&D - including understanding of required skills roadmap
- Update, maintain and ensure compliance with DI&E Engineering Management Plan
- Technically lead some aspects of the work, particularly in the Tactical C2 Innovation area.
- Experience in an engineering or delivery manager role
- Experience working both with customers and internal stakeholders
- Strong Delivery focused mind-set
- Experience working with technical teams including systems and software engineers
- Experience working on Bids and proposals
