**The Role & Key Responsibilities**:
**Job Title**:Head of Operations & Supply Chain - Premier Nutrition

**Location**:Hybrid - Rugeley, UK

**Salary**: Competitive + up to 30% bonus + car allowance + private healthcare + matched pension up to 10%

Due to an internal promotion, we are excited to be recruiting for a people focused leader to join our leadership team. With a function of approx. 85 people across Maintenance, Operations, Warehousing, Customer Service and Planning, you will have responsibility for creating an environment where people can thrive brining together operations and supply chain.

Some key responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring we have an environment and culture of safe people, feed and products while delivering great service for our customers.
- Create and execute operational strategy in line with our 5-year plan.
- Balance day to day needs with the future and vision for growth.
- Champion and promote our Everyday Excellence Continuous Improvement programme.
- Develop talent and ensure there is robust succession planning.
- Manage budget of circa £11Million to optimise and ensure there is business benefit.

**Skills and Experience**
- Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental good practice, quality assurance and control expectations in a large manufacturing business.
- Ability to think strategically and work with the leadership team to develop an operational strategy aligned to the business 5-year plan.
- Experience of working in and leading teams within a Lean/Continuous improvement (CI) work environment.
- Experience of optimising manufacturing, warehouse and planning processes/systems would be desirable.
- Experience of project management and CAPAX Improvement would be desirable.

**Location**

Our Premier Nutrition site has two manufacturing facilities close to each other, one in Rugeley and the other in Fradley Park. As a Senior Leader in the business, we would like you to be at site 2 - 3 days a week mixed with home working. Some travel to the AB Agri head office in Peterborough or other sites may be required.
