An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Recruitment Team Leader within the Medical Recruitment Team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a new role and we are looking for an enthusiastic, driven individual who can support the Medical Recruitment Team in providing an excellent recruitment service for medical staff within our Trust.

The Medical Recruitment Team Leader will have great organisational and leadership skills and be able to motivate others.

The role can be challenging but rewarding and covers all aspects of the recruitment and onboarding of medical staff including the welcoming of a new cohort of junior doctors every year. The role will also give the individual the opportunity to build great relationships with staff at all levels across the Trust.

Communicating effectively with a range of contacts including managers, support staff, staff from other departments and external contacts. There will occasionally be a need for tact and sensitivity when dealing with some difficult situations.

Planning and organising the administration function across the department. Monitoring the quality and output of work in own area and raise issues, reporting errors to the appropriate person.

Producing and maintaining reports and documents as required, analysing and resolving issues.

Inputting information on relevant databases/information systems, extracting information for standard and ad hoc reports.

Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of other staff, including coordination of work activity. Assisting with the induction and ongoing training of new administration team members.

Ensuring departmental, Trust and national targets are maintained.

Ensuring Trust resources are used appropriately and encourage others to do the same.

Deputise for the Medical Recruitment Manager during periods of absence.

Reviewing and updating working practices. Following and implementing policies within the team, and contributing/proposing changes to policy where necessary.
