**FRONT DESK ASSISTANT**

**Role & Team**

Our UK team is looking for a Front Office Assistant who will work in our Pop-up Hotels in Edinburgh. This role requires active communication with guests mainly in person, in writing, and over the phone. The main priority is to ensure an excellent guest experience, build trust and encourage return visits.

**Your responsibilities**
- Ensuring the smooth day to day running of Joivy Hotels;
- Checking arrivals list daily and accommodating special guest requests;
- Checking that all keys are ready for the arrivals;
- Checking and counting keys after all guests' departure and reports if any are missing;
- Working with the housekeeping team to ensure all rooms are ready ahead of check-in times;
- Reporting maintenance issues before, during, and after guests’ stays;
- Replying to guests’ inquiries and messages;
- Providing high-level customer service to all guests that enter Joivy Hotels;
- Ensuring adherence to company and building specific policies and procedures.

This role requires managing a small team, active communication with guests mainly in person, in writing, and over the phone. The main priority is to ensure an excellent guest experience, build trust and encourage return visits.

**Your responsibilities**
- Leading the Front Desk team and being the 1st point of escalation;
- Ensuring the smooth day to day running of Joivy Hotels;
- Checking arrivals list daily and accommodating special guest requests;
- Checking that all keys are ready for the arrivals;
- Checking and counting keys after all guests' departure and reports if any are missing;
- Working with the housekeeping team to ensure all rooms are ready ahead of check-in times;
- Reporting maintenance issues before, during, and after guests’ stays;
- Replying to guests’ inquiries and messages;
- Providing high-level customer service to all guests that enter Joivy Hotels;
- Ensuring adherence to company and building specific policies and procedures.

**TERMS**

The roles will be based at one of the Pop-up Hotel sites in Edinburgh. You may be required to travel to another site to provide cover. The role is fixed term from mid-June until end of August (the exact date will be confirmed at the next stage). You will be working on a rota which will include weekends, day and evening shifts.

If successful at the first stage, you will be invited to an in-person group interview. The group interview will take place w/b 20th May 2024 in Edinburgh.
