**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Welcome Office Manager, as Welcome Desk Supervisor Supervisor you will play a key role in guiding the daily operation of the Welcome Office, ensuring the needs of our guests and team are met consistenly.

Joining the pre-opening team means you will be instrumental to the success of the hotel’s opening and beyond. We are looking for someone who is organised, a people-person and passionate

As Welcome Desk Supervisor, key aspects of your role will include:

- Be a role model within the department, assisting the team to perform their role
- Take ownership of guest issues and see them through to resolution
- Train junior members of the team to become experts in their role
- Process check-in, check-out and payments
- Handle cash accurately and follow all Finance protocols
- Work in partnership with the Rooms Controller to ensure all guest preferences are met wherever possible
- Supervise the daily operation of the Welcome Desk
- Communicate and coordinate between Style, Welcome Office (Front Office) and Engineering to ensure any guest or maintenance issues are logged and resolved
- Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety protocols
- Develop teamwork throughout your team as it grows
- Be a W brand ambassador, ensuring the brand’s voice is present in your interactions with guests and talent

- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
- Confidence interacting with guests
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal English
- Previous experience training and supporting others in their role
- Previous experience working in five star, luxury/lifestyle hotels
- A positive mindset
- A genuine passion for working in hospitality

**ABOUT THE PROPERTY**

W Edinburgh will bring bold architecture and a vibrant lifestyle offering to the Scottish capital. Behind a façade featuring a winding steel ribbon - reflecting the city’s festival spirit - this 12-storey structure will be the centerpiece of Nuveen Real Estate’s Edinburgh St James Quarter, incorporating retail, leisure and entertainment facilities along with residential apartments.

This W hotel aims to help redefine the city’s hospitality landscape. Accordingly, it’ll fuse the brand’s signature amenities with modern design and W Happenings, highlighting what’s new in design, fashion, music and culture.

The new W hotel will accommodate guests across 244 stylish guestrooms, including 45 suites. While staying here, guests will benefit from the brand’s signature Whatever / Whenever service philosophy.

A real highlight of this property will be its rooftop bar and outdoor terrace, pairing exciting cocktails and cuisine with 360-degree views over the historic city.
