**Crown Oil have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented Transport Clerk to join our team. As a Transport Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our transportation department's smooth and efficient operation. This position is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong attention to detail, and has strong people skills.**

As a Transport Clerk, your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and track all transportation activities, which includes planning and routing fuel tankers to customers in and around the northwest, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations. You will work closely with drivers, sales account managers and customers to ensure that deliveries are made on time and meet customer requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and preparing reports on transportation activities.

To succeed in this position, you should have excellent organisational and multitasking skills, be comfortable working with computer systems, and have strong communication skills. The ability to work well under pressure and solve problems quickly is essential. The working hours for this role are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with flexibility being essential due to the industry's dynamic nature. During busy periods, some weekends may be required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and chase documentation in support of the transport operation
- Plan and route over 700 deliveries per week
- Undertake administrative and filing duties to meet the needs of the Transport Department
- Answer and respond to all incoming calls promptly and politely
- Ensure all internal/external customer queries or concerns are dealt with in a professional, friendly and courteous manner

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in a transportation or logistics role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and transportation management software
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
