to the Registrar

- The post of Compliance & Reporting Officer is an important role within LST; there is plenty of scope for the post-holder to
- develop their skills and make a valued contribution to the institution. Reporting to the Academic Secretary / Director of
- Academic Support (ASDAS), the post is set within the context of a regulatory environment governed under the Higher Education
- and Research Act 2017. In this respect, LST has been admitted to the Register of Higher Education Providers and is regulated
- by Office for Students (OFS); therefore, the post-holder will play a key role in the development of LST’s response to this
- emerging regulatory environment including implementing and developing systems and processes to meet ongoing and future
- reporting requirements.
- The priority for the role will be on reporting LST data to external regulatory bodies including the Higher Education Statistical
- Agency (HESA), OfS and Middlesex University (LST’s validating university). Reports will include, but not limited to, the Student
- Alternative, Staff, HE-BCI and HESES returns. Additionally, the post-holder will play a significant role in the development of
- LST’s Student Information System (SIS) and in formulating the institutional response to Data Futures.
- Key tasks will include, but not be limited to:

- Preparing an annual schedule of regulatory reporting obligations and proactively managing the reporting of data in a
- timely and efficient manner.
- Contributing to the development of the Student Information System and internal processes, so as to accurately collect
- student data and maintain a clear audit trail.
- Managing LST’s use of recognised data portals and collecting data and submitting reports through to successful sign-off.
- Producing internal reports such as for the Executive Team and the Board of Trustees and contributing to the production
- of the institution’s Access & Participation Plan.
- Producing and analysing data for the purposes of internal and external reporting.
- Playing a key role in LST’s response to Data Futures.
- Undertaking any other duties as reasonably required by the Academic Secretary / Director of Academic Support or
- Registrar.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure compliance with the requirements of LST’s UKVI Licenses; this will include

implementing systems to maintain appropriate records and documentation and monitor student attendance.

**As a valued member of the LST community, the post-holder will be welcome to attend Chapel and community prayer groups**
**and required to attend and support School events including Graduation Day and the Laing Lecture.**

**Experience**:
Experience of undertaking regulatory reporting to and through regulatory reporting D A / I
portals including HESA and OfS.

Experience of data governance including an understanding of data protection issues. D A/I

London School of Theology is a Christian college and, as such, it is a requirement of the Person Specification that the
postholder must be in sympathy with the Christian ethos, aims and objectives of the School.

**Additional information:
**Salary**:£35,000 - £42,000 pa dependent on experience

**Hours**:35 hours per week with one-hour break for lunch (1.0 FTE). The usual working day is 9.00 am to
5.00 pm although some ‘out of hours’ work may be required in order to meet deadlines.

**Holiday**:24 days per annum plus public holidays for 1.0 FTE role and pro-rata accordingly.
LST is closed between Christmas and the New Year and this is given as additional leave.
