A lovely and kind family, is seeking help and would like to hire a highly professional and reliable Live-in Housekeeper/Nanny. They are an Australian/American couple with a 9-year-old daughter.

The position is based in Chelsea, Central London. High standard accommodation provided.

The Housekeeper will ensure the house is always clean, neat, tidy, and welcoming.

It is important that the principal’s wishes are clear from the outset as the Housekeeper duties will include on top of the general household cleaning (dusting, vacuuming and polishing):
**Duties Include**:

- Laundry, washing and ironing sheets, clothing for delicate fabrics, school uniforms and sports wear
- Clear rubbish and wastepaper bins
- Clean bathrooms, basin and lavatories
- Keeping clean and tidy tiled surfaces
- Ironing, sheets and dry-cleaning picked up and dropped of 2 times weekly by a third party
- Make sure all surfaces are dusted including window frames and skirting boards
- Management of inventory and pantry/cleaning products
- Make sure cupboards are kept neat and tidy
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is kept clean such as oven, hobs and dishwashers
- Beds and linens changed regularly
- Mirrors and glass surfaces kept clean
- Wardrobe Management. Ensure all wardrobes and draws are kept neat and tidy
- Clean and polish silverware
- Clean shoes regularly
- Watering and taking care household plants
- Advise principal of any domestic repairs or replacements that require attention
- Keep fridge stocked with healthy food, and clear fridge once a week
- Food shopping and general errands when required
- Answer the door and receive deliveries as required
- Leave the house to perform errands and food shopping for the principal’s family
- Take the 9-year-old girl to school in the morning, and occasionally to playdates especially during holidays.
- Look after the 9-year-old girl when she is in the home. Someone who will largely stay in the evenings is favourable, as the parents have a busy social life.
- Agree menus with employer on a weekly basis and plan and prepare meals, including snacks and lunch boxes
- Lay and serve a table

Please note that the child has an after-school nanny to assist with homework and bed preparation.
- Attention to detail
- Training in hospitality or banqueting a bonus but not required
- Training in caring for antiques, silver, and delicate furniture favourable
- Proven experience as a housekeeper for private homes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and demonstrate initiative and flexibility
- Compassionate and caring nature, good disposition with the desire to provide comfort.
- Ability and willingness to cook simple and healthy meals
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products and methods, including cleaning of sensitive materials
- A genuine passion for creating a homely environment

**Working days/hours**:Monday to Friday, 7.00am - 7.00pm with a 2-hour break in the afternoon.

**Accommodation**: 3rd floor accommodation comprising of lovely double bedroom, ensuite bathroom, AC, and an amazing view of the Thames

5 weeks paid holiday

**Dress code**: Black trousers and white shirt (with apron to be purchased by employers)

**Salary**: £650 net per week (approx. £45k per annum), accommodation and food provided
