LIVE-IN HOUSEKEEPER / COOK, CENTRAL LONDON

Excellent salary depending on experience circa £45k gpa

Monday to Friday

The family are not in residence most of the time so you will be responsible for your own hours whilst they are away, when they visit you will be expected to be flexible.

The previous housekeeper/cook was in post for 10 years so if you’re looking for longevity in a role, this is it

The home must be kept to immaculate standards at all times whether the family are in residence or not. They have three children who are at boarding school and University and return home only on odd weekends or school holidays (when the family often travel or stay at their main residence in the country).

You will be responsible for all housekeeping, cleaning and laundry duties to an excellent standard. You will manage supplies, wardrobes, assist with packing and cook to a good family standard. Cooking will be required for those persons in residence.

General duties:

- All household cleaning duties to an excellent standard
- Care of fine furnishings, curtains, fabrics, marble
- Laundry and ironing of delicate fabrics, care of silks and cashmere
- Wardrobe management and labelling of clothes
- Bed linen changes
- Cooking to a high family-style standard.
- Shopping and household accounts and supply management of pantry, food stocks, laundry and cleaning items
- Errands / dry cleaners / post office / supermarket shopping as necessary / management of workmen if necessary
- Front of house, taking deliveries, welcoming guests
- You will be professional, presentable, energetic and physically fit - this is a large home.
- You will be honest and hardworking with exceptional standards for yourself and in your work
- You will be able to work independently when the principals are not in residence, seeing what needs to be done; and manage duties efficiently when the family is in residence
- Discretion and confidentiality are essential.
- Fluent English and strong communication skills are required.
- Confident in the kitchen and in preparing meals. The family preference is for healthy Mediterranean-style cooking
- Non-smoker

Accommodation: 1-bedroom studio flat with private entrance in basement (double bedroom, bathroom, utility room/kitchenette).

Start: Can be ASAP or will wait for right person

**Salary**: From £45,000.00 per hour
