**Job Title: Technical Author for VCDP (Vehicle Connected Data Platform) - UK**

**(Minimum of 2 years residence in the UK)**

**Main activities: -**

This role will contribute to the implementation of VCDP (Vehicle Connected Data) Platform for our B2B partners. This role will interface with the wider VCDP Domain to ensure all solutions are mapped out and technical specification documentations are aligned and communicated effectively top enable third party integration. The role supports the wider VCDP domain and as such scope includes core platform, consumer App, Connectivity and any other area deemed applicable for the delivery and integration of VCDP.

- Clear timing plan
- Fully documented integrations that can be consumed by a third party.

**Key Accountabilities **and **Responsibilities**
- Providing high quality analytical services to VCDP,
- Understanding the business needs of the client, providing potential options,
- Direct a combination of operational, integration and success criteria.
- Work on quarterly demand to ascertain future need for documentation.
- Review all SOWs and associated change orders in preparation of execution,
- Facilitate all levels of requirements gathering, aligning requirements to the business goals, process modelling, change control, quality assurance, resource allocation, change management, support, and implementation tasks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with direct and indirect clients including customer satisfaction, cultivating growth, as well as day-to-day communication as necessary.

**As a Technical Author for VCDP, you must have the following personal profile.**
- Good understanding of the connectivity/ Telematics system
- A background in Cloud technologies is an asset.
- Understanding of API (Application Programming Interfaces)
- Familiarity of communication protocols like UDP, TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPs, MQTT etc.
- An individual with a customer first mindset who is easy to do business with and makes people feel special, driven to deliver experiences that are personalised, transparent and dependable.
- Resilient and enthusiastic, an individual able to deliver results under pressure, whilst responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs.
- Able to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience required.**
- Experience documenting technical content for a developer audience, including documenting APIs.
- Experience in documenting technical content for mobile apps.
- A hands-on approach to the technology and products being documented - Keen to learn new technologies quickly, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant technical documentational experience.
- Experience of working in a high performing matrix environment.
- Proven technical and analytical skills with the ability to manage simultaneous priorities and changing deadlines,
- Able to present a professional image of VCDP to all stakeholders through verbal and written interactions.
- Excellent vendor management skills. Proven experience in working with external global third-party Managed Services Providers and software vendors,
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, persuasion, and conflict resolution skills with a strong sense of urgency.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- 8-10 years of working experience in automotive industry, specifically on connectivity
- Must be ready to relocate to UK (Manchester)-Visa will be processed if required. (minimum of 2 years residence in the UK)
