Working as part of a small team office-based team, you will be responsible for the purchasing of materials and consumables for the company.

This is a new role for the company. Purchasing is a key focus as the company continues to grow. This role covers all company purchases.

Office-based. Ideally, a full-time position, but part-time/ flexible working will definitely be considered.

**Purchasing Assistant Key tasks**
- Building supplier relationships and supplier management.
- Critical review of purchasing activity.
- Deliver cost savings based on volume purchase.
- Review the current supplier base and rationalise where appropriate.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure equipment is delivered on time for installations.
- Source additional suppliers where necessary.
- Review ‘goods not for resale’ purchase.
- Monitoring supplier online accounts.

**Purchasing Assistant Key skills**
- Good knowledge of standard purchasing practices
- Excellent supplier management skills
- Good communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Confidence and enthusiasm
- PC literate, working knowledge of MS office systems, especially Excel.

**Desirable**
- Experience in a similar role
