**The role**

The role will be focused on how we capture and use Customer and Product data in the bank. In particular focusing on regulatory requirements to support TCF and Customer Duty, whilst also including 360 view of Customer and Customer experience initiatives.This role would suit someone with a solid data background, having led data quality and/or data governance teams, developing and embedding frameworks and principles to enable measurement and prioritisation of data quality initiatives. An understanding of differentdata structures, hierarchies and ability to simplify for appropriate audiences and stakeholders.

**The responsibilities**
- Implementation of data quality standards, frameworks, policies, guidelines and rules across the bank for Customer and Product data. Working closely with the data management team and data consumers across the bank.
- Data Steward Accountabilities for Customer and Product data, responsible for implementing data management policies and procedures. To include supporting on implementation of the enterprise-wide data catalogue and creating/documenting business glossary definitionsfor Customer and Product domains.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of a business data dictionary, working collaboratively with the data management, data governance teams
- Working with business and technology teams to rollout and maintain data management and remediate data quality issues. Lead prioritisation, assessment and remediation of Customer and product data, which includes defining the critical data elements (CDE's).
- Leading workshops to capture requirements and work with stakeholders to define critical data.
- Partner with IT and business to establish solutions and adhere to banks data principles and governance framework.
- Champion the continued development of 'single source of truth' for Customer and Product data, working with other stakeholders including data consumers, data producers and data owners and stewards to define requirements

**Essential**
- Experience working in data quality, data governance or data management within Financial Services.
- Demonstrate proficiency using Excel and ideally SQL experience to source, analyse, normalise and process data for quality validations
- Strong knowledge and understanding of master data elements and processes
- Experience and/or knowledge of data quality and lineage tools: Collibra, Informatica, IBM MDM etc.
- Experience creating and using data models and data definitions
- Experience of resolving data quality issues and data governance in the financial services industry
- Bachelor's degree (in computer science, information technology or engineering) or equivalent experience and/or data quality certification.
