**Want to use your interpersonal and administration skills to help a small charity thrive and provide the best support they can to older people in Brent?**

As an Office Admin Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for older people who need some help and you will be responsible for basic administrative tasks and front of house duties.

**Hours**: 11 hours

**Days**:We are looking for support on Wednesdays from 12.30pm-4pm, on Thursdays from 12.30pm-4pm and on Fridays from 11am-3pm.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Answering the phones, forwarding calls & relaying messages to relevant staff members
- Supporting older people over the phone with their enquiries; informing older people about Elders Voice’s services & activities, and encouraging them to join our free membership scheme.
- Answering the front door; greeting clients & signing for deliveries
- Responding to enquiries via the charity’s inbox
- Checking the building is presentable and operational
- Assisting the team with ad hoc tasks and desktop research

**You will be great for the role if**:

- You are an excellent communicator
- You are self-motivated and proactive
- You are happy volunteering on your own (at times) and keeping in touch with the team
- You have a good understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- You enjoy supporting others and are patient and empathetic
